In December 2017, KAWS unveiled "Small Lie," a new iteration of his iconic sidekick. The sculpture depicts the companion stooped over in what looks to be a dejected posture and sporting a long, Pinocchio-like nose. This figurine was distinct from the Open Edition Companions in that the character wore overalls, and it did not come in flayed variations. This Small Lie Companion in Brown features a range of beige and brown hues with black accents on the artist's iconic hand and eye motifs.
